Dr. Samual P. Smith, M.D.
Dr. Samuel P. Smith is an experienced psychiatrist. He has been practicing psychiatry since 1987. He earned his medical degree in 1976 at the University of Ghana. Following this, he was accepted into the Sports Medicine Residency at the International Sports University Center in Rostock, Germany. He later developed an interest in Psychiatry and enrolled in Charles Drew Post Graduate School in Los Angele, California for his residency program. He retired after almost 30 years of service with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Dr. Smith has maintained a solo private practice since 1990. He has over 20 years of experience providing services, training, and consultation with residential programs including Department of Child and Family Services, Probation Department, Regional Centers, Community Outreach Program, and people with both neurodevelopmental disability and mental illness.
