Adolescent Psychiatry in California — Ages 13+

I-HPS provides secure video psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adolescents age 13 and older throughout California. Assessment considers emotional and behavioral symptoms in the context of development, school, relationships, sleep, medical history, and family circumstances.

We review previous treatment, medications, supplements, diet, movement, and the adolescent’s goals. When appropriate and authorized, parent, caregiver, teacher, or other clinician observations help provide a fuller picture. Validated questionnaires can help establish a starting point and track progress over time.

Our Precision Medication Management approach includes shared treatment decisions, side-effect review, individualized laboratory monitoring, and PGx testing when clinically appropriate. PGx results are one source of information and cannot guarantee a medication’s effectiveness. Family or caregiver involvement is tailored to the patient’s needs and applicable consent requirements.

New patient intakes are available within 5 working days. Self-pay fees are $300 for the initial assessment and $150 per follow-up. PGx and laboratory testing are billed separately, with costs discussed before ordering. Insurance coverage and authorization requirements are verified individually.
