A treatment plan built around you
Precision Medication Management is our approach to bringing together your psychiatric assessment, health history, symptom measurements, medication safety information, and personal goals. We use these sources together to make informed decisions with you and review how treatment is working over time.
What your assessment includes
Whole-person psychiatric assessment
We review current symptoms, previous diagnoses and treatments, medical conditions, sleep, diet, movement, substance use, medications, supplements, daily functioning, and the changes that matter most to you. This helps us understand your concerns in context and develop an individualized plan.
Measurement-based care
Brief, validated symptom questionnaires help establish a starting point and track change. Your clinician discusses the results with you alongside your experience, functioning, side effects, and clinical assessment. Questionnaires support shared decisions; they do not replace a clinical evaluation.
Individualized laboratory monitoring
We review available laboratory results and order additional tests when clinically appropriate. Monitoring is tailored to your medical history, medications, and treatment needs. It can help assess relevant medical factors and monitor medication safety. Everyone does not need the same tests.
Medication and supplement review
We review prescription medications, nonprescription products, and supplements for potential interactions, side effects, and duplication. We also discuss practical factors such as adherence, cost, and your preferences.
What is pharmacogenomics (PGx)?
Pharmacogenomics, often shortened to PGx, examines how genetic differences may affect the way your body processes or responds to certain medications. When supported by evidence for a particular medication, results may help inform dosing or identify an increased risk of certain side effects.
PGx testing is considered when clinically appropriate. Results are interpreted alongside your symptoms, medical history, previous medication response, other medications, laboratory findings, and preferences. Testing cannot guarantee which medication will work best or predict every side effect, and it is not necessary for every patient.
What happens at follow-up appointments?
We review symptoms, daily functioning, treatment goals, side effects, and relevant laboratory or PGx results. We discuss what is improving and what still needs attention, then adjust the treatment plan together as appropriate. With your permission, we coordinate with other clinicians or caregivers involved in your care.
Self-pay fees and testing costs
Comprehensive initial assessment: $300.
Medication-management follow-up: $150 per appointment.
PGx testing and other laboratory tests are billed separately. Costs are discussed before testing is ordered. If you plan to use insurance, our office will verify your coverage, network participation, and any authorization requirements. Coverage and your out-of-pocket responsibility depend on your plan.
